This summer, Slough Baptist Church are running a Holiday Club called "Guardians of Ancora", running from Monday 25th - Friday 29th July for children aged 5-11. The week will be packed with fun and exciting activities for the children and promises to be a week your child won't forget! Throughout the week we plan to have games, crafts, puppets, drama and music while learning about God. The Holiday Club will run from 10am till 12:30pm each day; it is completely free, but places are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment!

A Day at Guardians of Ancora

A day at Guardians of Ancora Holiday Club starts when children are registered and dropped off by their parent/guardian at 10:00am and shown to their small groups . These groups are based around the ages of the children and are led by experienced DBS (formerly CRB) checked leaders. They begin with some fun activities to get to know each other better.

Once everyone has arrived all the children come together for a time of music, games and stories led by Kal and The Keeper. The programme has lots of different activities including games with lots of balls, Christian songs, creative storytelling and lots to get involved in.

Everyone then breaks up into their groups and spends some time exploring the Bible story for the day before enjoying a drink and a snack. Please do make sure to let us know, when you register, if your child has any allergies so we can provide for them. The groups then do a fun and creative craft activity together.

For the final part of the day everyone comes back together for more songs, a quiz, some drama and a memory verse to learn. Once all this is over everyone returns to their groups ready for their parent/guardian to arrive.

Extra Activities

The fun doesn't end there! On Wednesday lunchtime we invite all the parents and guardians to join us for lunch straight after the morning session at 12.30pm. This event is free but we will ask you to register for lunch shortly before the Holiday Club begins so we can cater appropriately. Look out for more information coming by email soon.

Also at Friday lunchtime, we will end the Holiday Club by having a celebration together and an awards ceremony. We would love families to come and join us in the hall from 12 noon and we anticipate it lasting just over half an hour.

Both events will be a great opportunity to see some of the activities your children have been getting up to in the week.
